Alien Alien X is a friend for climbing progression that received its first patent in 1986, in Colorado (USA). It retains its original character but with an improved version in terms of performance and finish.

The new Alien X features many improvements, such as the X-grip textured cams that improve grip on rock during first use. The extraction lever has been made more ergonomic and resized, which has turned the Alien X into a quick and easy friend to manipulate, both during placement and extraction, and is now easier to use even when wearing gloves. In addition, there is now an extra 3 mm between the extractor and the cams.

But the new Alien X also retains its original character and remains true to the first patent. It is famous for its lightness and reduced volume and for its flexibility that absorbs the movement of the rope, preventing the cams from moving once positioned.
